Street Children
There are five thousand street children sleeping on the streets of
Nepal. In Kathmandu, these children are hopelessly addicted to the
streets. They are initially addicted to the freedom that it offers and
the companionship of their friends, but soon enter into a downward
spiral of addiction that almost always ends tragically.

Children’s Homes
Where there is poverty there are children in need of loving families.
In South Asia, where political violence and social injustice is the
norm, orphans abound. We have strived to provide a loving,
Christ-centered environment in homes where 10-20 orphaned or hopeless
children can live and learn as a family.

Children’s Helplines
By identifying the newest children on the streets we have an
opportunity to intervene in the life of a child before the addiction to
street life takes hold. The goal of our staff is to return children to
their homes, or, in circumstances where this is not possible, find a
home for them where they can find love and provision.

Child Development
Children in poverty often lack more than just physical necessities.
The problems that both result from, and cause, poverty are passed from
down from generation to generation in the ways that children are
raised. Tiny Hands is developing and implementing ways to break this
cycle by teaching children creative skills and problem solving, and by
giving them the resources to do so.
