Human Trafficking PDF Print E-mail
Women and children are frequently the ones most greatly affected by war and poverty.  Women often face sexual exploitation, and the pervasive lack of education in South Asia among women makes grass-roots efforts to prevent such exploitation very difficult.  Women also bear much of the responsibility for child raising, and in difficult times the women are often left to suffer alone with their children.

Sex trafficking
Sex trafficking is a worldwide tragedy, but in South Asia it is rampant.  Despite the efforts of many organizations attempting to fight this injustice, not enough is being done.   Tiny Hands is committed to both the interception of trafficked girls before they cross the border and the rehabilitation of girls that have been victims of this terrible industry.

Tiny Hands monitors several border crossings between India and Nepal in order to prevent girls from being illegally trafficked into India.

Rehabilitation
Girls who are brought out of the sex-industry both in Nepal and India are often broken and in need of love, counseling, and educational opportunities.
