FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP PDF Print E-mail

“'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more'” (Matt 25:20).
Stewardship
We consider every dollar of our assets as an organization to belong directly to God.  He has given them to us only that we might put them to use for His glory.  We are therefore determined to seek out His will in spending money faithfully according to the principles He has shown us.

Frugality
We are committed to spending money as frugally as possible, with knowledge that just a few dollars can drastically change the life of one of God’s precious children in the developing world.  Money is hardly the means that God uses to redeem the world, but it is one important tool that He uses to bless people, and even to change lives.  It is sometimes hard to understand for those of us living in the West, but there are situations where money is the only thing preventing a loving couple from taking in the next orphan child in need, or a church from rescuing a young girl from the trafficking industry.  We are committed to finding these situations, and blessing God’s faithful servants (the only resource God is really lacking) with the ability to serve the poor.

Self-sustainability
In order to multiply our ability to help those in need, we are committed to empowering our international fields to learn and invest in stable, long-term income generation projects, so that eventually they can become self-sustainable and reproducible.
