Opportunity Home

Location: Gopalgonj, Bangladesh
House parents: Collins and Nomita Soren
Year opened: 2007
Target group: Orphaned or abandoned children

After 2 years of preparation, Opportunity Children's Home became Tiny Hand's first ministry in Bangladesh in 2007.  In contrast to the bustling streets of Dhaka, the nation's capital, Gopalgonj is a rural district that escapes the congestion and noise and allows these children to grow up in a peaceful and quiet environment. Collins and Nomita Soren, the parents of the home, have followed their heart for orphaned and abandoned children and opened their doors and their hearts to those in greatest need.

We believe that one of the most important things that these children need is the very thing they lost... a family.  This is why we desire to see smaller homes where each child receives the love and attention of the parents and their individual needs can be met.  At the Opportunity Rescue Home, each child is viewed holistically and is cared for physically, mentally, and spiritually.
